Feeling the heat in Paris?

In the summer sunshine of the French capital, big names like Carla Bruni and Catherine Deneuve kept cool courtesy of Jean Paul Gaultier and his Autumn/Winter 2017 Couture show.

A winter wonderland theme was created on the catwalk and white confetti snow fell as models, beautifully dressed for a chilly day, strutted their stuff.

A new shoulder silhouette was just one sign that the French fashion guru is a man for all seasons.

Another high point of Haute Couture Week in Paris was the bold colours and blissful beauty of Valentino.

Film director Sofia Coppola and actress Brie Larson were among those at the side of the catwalk, watching the first solo collection for the Valentino fashion house by Pierpaolo Piccioli.

And the Paris Haute Couture shows would not have been complete without the legendary Karl Lagerfeld.

Flower power ruled on the runway as he showcased his new collection for the Italian fashion house Fendi.
