Reports from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris suggest that thousands of passengers were moved from Terminal 2F on Saturday.

Posts on social media indicated significant disruption.

After much speculation about the cause of the incident, airport authorities tweeted to say that the evacuation was ‘to comply with security rules’ and that boarding was resuming.

In order to comply with security rules, terminal 2F was temporarily evacuated. Boarding will gradually resuming
