The number of people now known to have died in the London tower block inferno has risen to 30.

But reports in Britain say at least 65 people are still missing or feared dead. Others say the figure is klikely to be much higher.

Twenty four people are still in hospital, 12 of them in a critical condition.

The Prime Minister is visiting some of the injured today after being criticised for not meeting residents during a visit to the scene on Thursday.

Police say there is nothing to suggest the fire was started deliberately but they are still considering whether criminal offences had been committed.
