Turkey offers diplomatic support to Qatar amid the crisis in the region, with a visit from its foreign minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
Turkey’s foreign minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, is visiting Doha in a show of diplomatic support as Qatar fights a bitter feud with neighbouring countries over accusations it supports Islamist militants and Shi’ite Iran.
The rift has seen sanctions slapped on the emirate, but no military action has been taken.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt severed relations with Qatar last week. Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to discuss the situation in a telephone call with US President Donald Trump in the coming days
