Dogs put their best political paws forward as they accompanied their owners to vote in the UK’s snap general election.

They were pictured around voting stations across Britain.

In 2015 Twitter users began posting pictures of their pets outside voting venues, spawning a bizarre hashtag #dogsatpollingstations

Its return today suggested it could become a fixture of Britain’s election furniture.
