Several hundred people celebrated April 1 in Budapest by attacking each other with pillows.

The rules of the event were simple: you must bring your own pillow and you are only allowed to hit other people who are also ‘armed’. The fight lasts as long as it has to.

The battle was part of ‘International Pillow Fight Day’ and just one of many that took place around the world.

Organisers of the event saw it as a way to combat consumerism and take back the public space from advertisements.
