The all-clear has been given in the resort of Tignes in the French Alps.

An avalanche swept across a busy blue ski run near the popular resort on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services raced to the scene, their efforts hampered by poor visibility.

The avalanche risk at Tignes is four on a scale of 5.

French news agences confirm that the avalanche claimed no victims.
