It was a super Saturday for Norway and Kjetil Jansrud.

The 31 year old made it two wins in two days on the slopes of Val D’Isere, France.

Jansrud put his rivals on alert, letting them know that he means business.

On Friday he won the Super G.
On Saturday he took the downhill.

Jansrud was unsurprisingly pleased with his start to the season.

“It’s an amazing beginning,” he said. “You never know, but I hoped for sure for a start like this.”

His sterling performance left closest rival Peter Fill in the shade. For the second straight day, Norway and Italy dominated the podium.

The Italian came home 0.26 seconds behind Jansrud and made his feelings clear.

Aksel Lund Svindal completed his comeback after being out of the game for 10 months with a serious knee injury by coming home third. The Norwegian was runner-up in the Super G but came home 0.33 behind his compatriot. Only the top three came home in under two minutes
