A tour bus has crashed near Palm Springs in California killing 13 people and injuring 31 others.
The bus was travelling on interstate 10 when it hit the back of a tractor-trailer. The bus driver was among the dead.

Photographs from the scene showed the front of the tour bus wedged inside the back of the trailer, with emergency workers using metal ladders to reach the inside of the bus.
An investigation has been launched but into whether alcohol, drugs or fatigue was a factor in the incident.
