Scott Hend of Australia shot a seven-under-par round of 64 to stand one shot clear of Italian Nino Bertasio after the third round of the Dutch Open in Spijk.

Hend, who lost out in a play-off to Swede Alex Noren in the European Masters at Crans Montana, Switzerland last weekend, made an eagle and six birdies in his round to give him a 14-under three-round total of 199.

Bertasio, after an eagle and four birdies came to his last hole on 15-under, but a double bogey seven dropped him to 13-under and a 4-under round of 67.

Four players shared third place two shots further back on 11-under – Joost Luiten of the Netherlands (69) along with Englishmen David Horsey (67), Richard Bland (66) and Ben Evans (68).

Overnight leader Bernd Wiesberger of Austria dropped into a share of seventh with three other players on 10-under after a level par round of 71.
