Ivan Rakitic’s 44th minute goal was cancelled out by
Hakan Calhanoglu as Croatia and Turkey played out a 1-1 draw at Croatia’s Stadion Maksimir.

The draw leaves Croatia second in Group I.

Two goals each from David Silva, Diego Costa, Alvaro Morata saw Spain thump Liechenstein 8-0 in their World Cup opener in Julen Lopetegui’s first game as manager.
