Consumer prices fell 0.1 percent in May from a year ago, but slower than the 0.2 percent decline seen in April.

Headline inflation has been below the European Central Bank’s target of ‘below, but close to 2 precent’ since early 2013.
In Germany domestic consumption has now passed exports as the country’s main growth drive.
It is expected to be short lived as higher fuel prices and inflation fears will erode disposable income.
