Ranieri, who masterminded the club’s remarkable rise from the depths of the unfancied, said: “For us it’s not so important to bring some superstars, it’s important to bring the players that has a heart and they play with heart and with the soul. This was one of our secret this season and for us is important, for me is important to have two players for each position because we have a lot competition to do.”

With 5000-1 odds at the start of the season Ranieri and his men took the topflight by storm to win the title for the first time in the club’s 132 year history.

They finished a whopping 10 points above nearest rivals Arsenal and will now contest next season’s Champions League as a top seed.
