Leicester City arrive in Thailand for celebration tour

Recently-crowned English Premier League champions Leicester received a heroes welcome on arrival in the club owner’s native Thailand for a celebration Tour.

Manager Claudio Ranieri and captain Wes Morgan were among the players to make the trip to Bankok but the star trio of Riyad Mahrez, Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy were missing having been called up for international.

Ranieri, who masterminded the club’s remarkable rise from the depths of the unfancied, said: “For us it’s not so important to bring some superstars, it’s important to bring the players that has a heart and they play with heart and with the soul. This was one of our secret this season and for us is important, for me is important to have two players for each position because we have a lot competition to do.”

With 5000-1 odds at the start of the season Ranieri and his men took the topflight by storm to win the title for the first time in the club’s 132 year history.

They finished a whopping 10 points above nearest rivals Arsenal and will now contest next season’s Champions League as a top seed.
