The festivities continued throughout the day in Martim Moniz – the most multicultural neighbourhood of Portugal’s hilly capital city.
Around 20-thousand Chinese nationals live in Portugal.
The Chinese New Year starts on 8 February and the Year of the Monkey succeeds the Year of the Goat.
