Abdeluheb Choho, Amsterdam Vice Mayor
“Amsterdam is not a circular city today. We have just started into moving towards becoming a circular city. However, what I think is a fantastic thing that we have in Amsterdam is that we see more and more for example start-ups and new generation people who want to become entrepreneurs by themselves develop circular businesses not even being asked for it, but that’s their whole thinking. As a city we want to have the largest circular district in the Nethrerlads, so we are building a new district in the city with 2,000 houses and that will become a circular district, to learn how this will evolve and we’ll be able to copy that and scale it up in the rest of the city.”
