Five people have been detained in Brussels, as part of an investigation linked to last month’s Paris attacks. Two brothers and a friend were taken

Five people have been detained in Brussels, as part of an investigation linked to last month’s Paris attacks.

Two brothers and a friend were taken away by police after a house was raided near the central district of Dansaert on Sunday.

Prosecutors say the property was targeted after analysis of phone records.

Two more people were detained on Monday in a raid in the Laeken area, in the north of the city.

Brussels native Salah Abdeslam, who is suspected of direct involvement in what happened in Paris, remains at large.

Last month’s attacks in the French capital left 130 people dead.

The focus of the investigation quickly turned to Belgium, where several people suspected of aiding the attackers have been arrested.
