Algeria celebrated another gold at the African Games in Brazzaville, when the men’s team won the volleyball.

The North African’s beat hosts Congo three games to nothing.

Egypt rounded off the podium courtesy of a 3-2 victory over Rwanda.

Algeria were also dominant in Judo at the Games after reaching 11 finals from 14 winning seven gold medals.

One gold went to Lyes Bouyacoub who beat Anis Ben Khaled of Tunisia to win the under 100 kilo title.

It didn’t go so well for fellow Algerian Kamel Haroune, who lost out in the men’s under 60 kg final to Egypt’s Ahmed Abelrahman.

Cameroon made it to the top spot of the Judo podium in the women’s 63 kilo division after Hélène Wezeu Dombeu strangled the shiniest of medals out of Algeria’s Souad Belakhal.

While Antonia Moreira handed Angola its sole gold medal in the Judo competition when she beat Houda Miled of Tunisia to win the -70kg title.
