Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is set to resign as head of the Palestine Liberation Organisation’s (PLO) executive committee, PLO officials said on Saturday.
The move has not been officially confirmed.
One PLO official denied that Abbas had tendered his resignation.
There is no indication that Abbas plans to leave his post as Palestinian President.
