The 22-year-old, who played alongside emerging youngsters for the Benfica reserve side last season, failed to break into the first-team squad. His only appearance for the Eagles was a short spell as a substitute in a home win against Académica on April 11.
Meanwhile, Spanish giants Real Madrid presented their newest signing, Croatian international Mateo Kovacic, at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.
According to reports, the former Inter Milan midfielder has agreed a six-year contract for an undisclosed fee after two seasons in Italy.
