Russia’s preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup are in full swing as the country gets 11 cities ready to host the tournament.

Eager to avoid the problems that plagued Brazil, the local organising committee has been showing the world’s press that its hard at work.

Russia’s city of Sochi is reconstructing Fisht stadium, the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of last year’s Winter Olympics.

More than 100 workers and 20 construction machines
are renovating the site. The arena is expected to be expanded to host 45,000 spectators by 2016.
