Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina has secured a move back to Napoli after signing a reported three-year contract with the Serie A club.

After eight consecutive seasons as Liverpool’s first choice keeper Reina spent the 2013/2014 season on loan at Napoli.

Last summer he joined German champions Bayern Munich on a three-year deal, but it turned out to be a disappointing spell for the 32-year-old.

He was restricted to only three Bundesliga appearances for Pep Guardiola who prefered Germany international shotstopper Manuel Neuer.

Bayern Munich confirmed Reina had asked to be released from his contract in order to play regular first team football – a chance he’ll now get at Napoli.
