Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt says she can take credit for helping the country out of the financial crisis.
Facing re-election next Thursday, she made the comments during a TV debate in Copenhagen against former PM Lars Rasmussen, who wants a second chance at the top job.
He accused to Thorning-Schmidt of failing to keep promises she made during her first election campaign.
Opinion polls suggest the vote on June 18 is too close to call.
