Team Brunel produced a superb display to claim the seventh leg of the Volvo Ocean Race in Lisbon on Wednesday.
The Dutch boat, skippered by Bouwe Bekking, overcame a late surge from MAPFRE to seal the win with Team Alvimedica having to settle for third place.
The result leaves Team Brunel in third position, just six points behind overall leaders Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing, who could only finish in fifth place on the 2,800 nautival mile leg from Newport.
