The six-boat fleet set sail for Lisbon for the seventh leg of the gruelling round-the-world race.

After a stop over in Newport, Rhode Island the crews set out on the 2 800 nautical mile leg across the North Atlantic to Portugal which should take them approximately nine days.

Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing skippered by British double Olympic silver medallist Ian Walker hold a six point advantage over Chinese challengers Dongfeng – who won the last leg starting from Itajai, Brazil.
