The Statue of Liberty has been declared safe after a bomb threat closed the iconic New York landmark on Friday.

Hundreds of tourists were evacuated from Liberty island after a 911 caller threatened to blow up the monument. Sniffer dogs found an area of interest near some lockers, but after a sweep the area was given the all clear.
