Former Lebanese prime minister Karami dies aged 80

The former two-time prime minister of Lebanon, Omar Karami, has died peacefully in hospital in Beirut aged 80. He initially served as PM for two years at the start of the 1990s, and returned in 2004 only to resign after the murder of former prime minister Rafic Hariri.
