A man was rescued on Saturday (December 20) after being trapped in a dry well for three days in east China’s Jiangsu Province. Zhang Qiming, 60, had been out of contact with his family since Wednesday afternoon. Rescuers tried to use rope to pull Zhang out but when this method failed they turned to a nearby excavator to dig up a passage towards the well. The man is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
