Police in Italy say thieves torched a cash transport convoy on the Milan-Naples motorway.

Fifteen gunmen reportedly attacked the vehicles with firebombs and nails. An armoured car carrying five million euros is believed to have been at the centre of the assault. It managed to escape.

Police have begun a manhunt to catch the culprits
