Artist Thomas Leveritt put the short film together to highlight the effectiveness of sunscreen against harmful rays.

The video – likely to delight cosmetics firms – begins by using an ultraviolet camera to show passers-by the damage the sun has done to their skin.

Later on, with the same camera, it demonstrates the opaque effect of applying sunscreen.
