He’s gained his controversial reputation by blowing the whistle on governments’ secrets.

But now Wikileaks founder Julian Assange – still holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London – has turned his hand to something new.

He has collaborated with Puerto Rico band Calle 13 on their new single, which features Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello.

They sourced content for the song by asking fans on Twitter about social justice, working their responses into the lyrics.

Calle 13 frontman Rene Perez went to see Assange in London, with the meeting broadcast live online.

The single ‘Multi-Viral’ is expected to be released on November 13.

Australian whistle-blower Assange has been living at the Ecuadorian embassy in London after claiming asylum a year ago to avoid extradition to Sweden.
