Flights have been grounded at Los Angeles International Airport after a shooting that wounded at least one security agent.

Passengers were ordered to evacuate the airport, some onto the tarmac.

California media sources reported the Los Angeles Police Department is on a citywide tactical alert. The LAPD would confirm only that two people were injured and that the suspect was in custody.

President Obama was briefed on the incident and White House officials are in touch with law enforcement officials on the ground.
