In Talk Planet we hear about climate change from those who are witnessing its effects first hand.

Our interviewees might not be climate scientists, but that does not mean they are any less expert.

Among the Talk Planet programmes, a lifelong commercial fisherman tells of the new species that are appearing in waters off the west coast of the UK, how native species are changing their habits, and how he and his fishing colleagues are convinced the winds are getting stronger.

We also travelled to the Alps to hear the experiences of a mountain guide, who has spent the last 30 years working among the Alpine summits. He talks of how the mountain vegetation has changed as the glaciers recede, and how the unstable rocks and stones they leave behind has made him and his colleagues more vulnerable to rock-falls.

Real witnesses to real change.

That is Talk Planet.
