Alaska, American, Delta and United are among the US airlines to announce new direct flights to destinations in Europe next year.
It’s been a busy time in the US aviation sector with airlines announcing a raft of new nonstop flight routes for 2027, including many to Europe.

Among the new flights planned for next year are Alaska Airlines from Seattle to Athens and Paris; American Airlines from Philadelphia to Porto and Vienna; Delta from Austin to Paris; and United from Newark to Luxembourg, Ljubljana and Ibiza.
Here we take a look at some of the new flights which will connect the US and Europe in 2027.
Alaska Airlines
Next spring, Alaska Airlines will launch its first flights from Seattle to Athens and Paris Charles de Gaulle. The Seattle-Athens service will begin on 12 May 2027, operating three times a week, while the Seattle-Paris route will launch on 25 May 2027, flying five times per week. Both seasonal routes will continue until October 2027.

American Airlines
American has confirmed its international schedule for next summer. It will add three new destinations to its network from Philadelphia – serving Porto and Vienna for the first time ever and offering flights to Reykjavik for the first time since 2019. American will be the only US airline flying to Austria’s capital Vienna when its service begins next May.
In addition to the new destinations, American will also expand its network with nonstop routes from New York JFK to Amsterdam and Nice; from Charlotte in North Carolina to Barcelona; while adding a fourth daily flight between JFK and London Heathrow.

Delta
Beginning on 27 March 2027, Delta will launch the first-ever nonstop service from Austin to Paris Charles de Gaulle.
The service from the Texan city will operate daily during the summer season, with passengers able to connect beyond Europe through Delta's joint venture partnership with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic.
During the peak summer months, Delta, Air France and KLM will offer up to 10 weekly nonstop flights between Austin and Europe, with services to both Paris Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam.

United
In the largest expansion in its history, United will add 10 cities to its international network in 2027 – including new nonstop European flights from Washington Dulles to Toulouse and from Newark to Luxembourg, Marseille, Ibiza, Valencia, Terceira, Ljubljana, Olbia in Sardinia, and Catania in Sicily.
Beyond the new cities, United is also adding a new three times weekly nonstop service from Washington DC to Milan from 28 May 2027 and a new daily nonstop service from Denver to Paris beginning on 27 May 2027.

- Washington Dulles-Toulouse: daily from 26 April
- Newark-Ljubljana: four times weekly from 12 May
