The “stalking suspect” reportedly threw something on Lindsey Buckingham and then ran away. An arrest is expected soon.
Fleetwood Mac lead guitarist and co-vocalist Lindsey Buckingham was reportedly attacked by a woman, according to Santa Monica law enforcement.
Buckingham, 76, was apparently ambushed while walking into a building on Wednesday. The woman, who police described as a “stalking suspect,” allegedly threw something on Buckingham and then ran away.
Buckingham was not injured in the incident.
Police said they know who the woman is and that Buckingham is familiar with her due to previous incidents. An arrest is expected soon.
Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac in 1975 alongside his former bandmate and then-partner Stevie Nicks.
Last year, the legendary duo reissued their 1973 album ‘Buckingham Nicks’ - marking the first time the LP was publicly available since its original release.
When the album was released, both Buckingham and Nicks seemingly hinted at a reunion, with Nicks revealing that the pair were now back on talking terms.
