In this new episode of Changemakers of Uzbekistan, we follow Nodirbek Abdusattorov, a chess grandmaster who balances a demanding competitive career with university studies while aiming for new milestones.
Nodirbek Abdusattorov became world rapid chess champion in 2021, a defining achievement in his career. Introduced to chess at four, he quickly rose through youth competitions.
Now a student at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, he combines academic studies with professional chess, aiming to become classical world champion.
Despite the challenge of balancing both, he credits discipline and strategic thinking—skills developed through chess—as key to his success in learning and competition.
