AzerTelecom Chairman Emil Masimov unveils how the Digital Silk Way will reshape Eurasian connectivity, creating the first direct digital bridge between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and powering future cloud and AI ecosystems.

AzerTelecom Chairman Emil Masimov says the Digital Silk Way will mark the start of a new era in Eurasian connectivity. The flagship project, the Transcaspian Fibre Optic Cable Line, will become the first direct digital bridge between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

Engineered for 400 terabits per second, it will power cloud services, hyperscale data demands and emerging AI ecosystems. Masimov highlights that this hybrid subsea–land route will reduce reliance on traditional pathways, strengthen cooperation across Central Asia and unlock a more secure, diverse and innovative digital future for the region.
