Uzbekistan breaks ground on “New Tashkent,” a visionary urban project designed to house 2 million people and become a regional hub for innovation, sustainability, and smart infrastructure.

Uzbekistan has launched a large-scale urban development project aimed at meeting modern standards and alleviating the growing pressure on the capital. Located between the Chirchik and Karasuv rivers, “New Tashkent” spans 20,000 hectares and is being developed with the support of international partners.
