Video. ‘Serious attempts’ to start Kyiv-Moscow talks, ex-minister says

Negotiations are not a reality yet, insists Tymofiy Mylovanov, but there are attempts “to establish a process”, including a possible “trilateral meeting” involving the United States.

However, the former minister said Russia’s position “has not really changed since the February talks”. Russia's demands, including limiting the size of Ukraine’s army and recognising occupied territory, are “not feasible” for Ukraine as they would “contradict the Constitution”.

“That’s a travesty and no Ukrainian will ever accept that,” Mylovanov said.
