Brazil government sees pension reform savings of $244 billion in a decade

BRASÍLIA (Reuters) - Brazilian pension secretary Rogério Marinho said on Thursday that savings from the pension reform bill approved in a first-round vote by the lower house of Congress will be 914.3 billion reais ($244.2 billion) in 10 years.

He added that another bill to combat fraud in the pension system could save an extra 200 billion reais in 10 years.
