Contractor listed as killed in Monday Afghanistan blast is alive

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A contractor who was believed to have been killed in a car bomb near Kabul is actually alive, the U.S. military said on Tuesday.

Colonel David Butler, a spokesman for U.S. Forces- Afghanistan, told Reuters that the Afghan contractor was initially believed to have been killed along with three other U.S. service members in the blast near Bagram air base close to Kabul. It was only later that they found out that the contractor was alive.
