Walmart has joined Amazon and other smaller companies in asking regulators for permission to test drones for home deliveries in the US.
The world’s largest retailer by revenue, and the owner of Britain’s Asda stores, has been carrying out indoor tests for several months.
It also wants to use drones at its distribution centres and stores, perhaps carrying items from the shop to the car park.
