Touradj Ebrahimi is an electrical engineer. If his job is unusual, the technologies he develops actually concern anyone who owns a smartphone. His speciality is the processing of visual information, from images to videos, including immersive content through the metaverse. For his work, Touradj is the recipient of the SMPTE 2022 medal, the equivalent of the Nobel Prize for image technology professionals. In 1940, it was Walt Disney who received this internationally renowned distinction.
