Brit launches Lloyd’s of London insurance-linked securities fund

LONDON (Reuters) - Specialty insurer Brit Ltd, owned by Canadian insurer Fairfax Financial Holdings <FFH.TO>, on Monday said it had launched the Sussex Specialty Insurance Fund, the first such insurance-linked securities fund on the Lloyd’s of London market.

Sussex Capital is Brit's Bermuda-based investment manager offering ILS products to institutional investors, something the broader Lloyd's market has been slow to adopt.
