SSE misses on profit, flags 2019 risks as costs rise

(Reuters) - British energy supplier SSE Plc on Wednesday missed analysts' expectations for annual profit and warned of another hit to results in 2019 as it battled stiff competition and rising costs.

The company, one of Britain's "big six" energy suppliers, said adjusted earnings for the 12 months ended March 31 fell to 67.1 pence per share.
