MILAN (Reuters) - The European Commission will cut its 2019 growth forecast for Italy to 0.6 percent or "slightly" below, daily newspaper La Repubblica said on Tuesday.
The new forecast, due on Feb. 7, will match current estimates on Italy's GDP published by Bank of Italy and International Monetary Fund, the report added.
Italy's government currently estimates 1.0 percent growth for this year, while EU's previous forecast, released in November, pointed to 1.2 percent growth.
