HOUSTON (Reuters) - BP Plc <BP.L> restarted a small crude distillation unit (CDU) early on Monday, returning the 413,500 barrel-per-day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana, refinery to normal operations, said sources familiar with plant operations.

The 75,000 bpd Pipestill 11 A CDU was shut on Sept. 11 for repairs, the sources said.
