ROME (Reuters) - Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said on Tuesday that the government can raise 20 billion euros (17.82 billion pounds) with a measure that resolves tax disputes in exchange for a one-off payment.

Salvini spoke during the taping of a talk show for state television RAI in Rome. The so-called "tax peace" measure, which is expected to be in next year's budget, would allow taxpayers in economic difficulty to resolve a conflict with the state collection agency by paying a fine.
