US President is due to address the World Economic Forum later this week
Dozens of anti-capitalist protesters have marched through the centre of Davos ahead of this week's planned visit to the World Economic Forum by US President Donald Trump.
Police swept in and led away some of them away after they managed to breach security lines.
"Well it's not actually a protest because here in Davos we are not able to have a protest as the authorities said because of the snow so what we are doing is we're just marching and chanting with the little banners that we have and taking a little midnight stroll," said protest organiser Alex Hedinger.
Flag-waving demonstrators carried anti-globalisation messages as well as banners deriding Trump's policies on immigration and the environment.
Along with in Davos there have been protests in several Swiss cities organised by leftists groups.
Trump is due to host a dinner for European business executives on Thursday and address the forum on Friday.
