<p>Nobody can deny that disposing of crustacean shells (crabs, lobsters, shrimps) usually doesn’t smell very good.</p> <p>But there’s no need to be crabby about it. Just keep in mind that smells are usually a strong indicator that something is fishy.</p> <p>German biochemist Dr. Lars O. Wiemann talks about the problem. As 750,000 tons of crab shells are produced every year in the European Union, it’s imperative to find a way to efficiently recycle the waste.</p>
