Some northern EU states could be in trouble this winter due to low gas stocks, says Italy min

MILAN - Some northern European countries could be in a lot of trouble with gas supplies this winter if temperatures are low because of their under-filled storage systems, Italy's energy transition minister said on Tuesday.

"Italy shouldn't run this risk," Roberto Cingolani said in a parliamentary hearing, adding Italy's gas storage situation was by a long stretch the best in Europe.
